・Insertion Mode. Placing objects on the Canvas is now easier and more intuitive. You can still add objects to the Canvas via double-click or drag-and-drop from the vertical Library list on the left. But now you can also single-click on an object tool in the Library to enter Insertion Mode. While in this mode, you can add a new object to the Canvas via click-and-drag.
・Improved Text object. With the new Text object, the font size is automatically adjusted as you resize the Text object on the canvas. You can still add text to any object on the Canvas by double-clicking it. The behavior of text in other objects remains unchanged.

1. Add an external entity that starts the process. In the left column of the screen, you'll notice a lot of shapes and symbols. We've already created the four symbols you'll need to make a DFD. You can also add images to the diagram. Scroll through the list of symbols until you get to the bottom and see the heading Data Flow.

Pencil is built for the purpose of providing a free and open-source GUI prototyping tool that people can easily install and use to create mockups in popular desktop platforms. It includes built-in shapes collections for popular mobile (Android and iPhone) and desktop (Windows and generic) UI designs as well as flowcharts and common shapes. Additional stencil collections and clipart can be easily added as well. Pencil supports connectors which can be used to 'wire' shapes together in a diagram along. Pencil project also supports exporting to PNG, web page, PDF, SVG and Open Document formats.
